Try dividing 400 by 10 for a more accurate figure.

Still, perhaps we shouldn't be such philistines, as to worry about such things as accuracy, costs, or numbers particpating.

This is 'community art', at it's best.

I feel 40 is being kind.

The quoted figure of 400, why exagarate facts?

The star letter in this weekend's Observer admonishes the paper's recent report that the Flash Mob event had cost a thousand pounds, when in fact it had cost £1,160.00. They are curtly informed.

Silly paper.

Perhaps they thought it 'only; cost a thousand quid, after reading it on Accy Web. When that was the figure stated by the person who organised it.

Absolutely no other funding costs?'

Transparency in the first place could have saved someone the cost of a stamp.

Oh, and the letter informs us that the (reportedly 400) dancers gave an hours performance.

Or maybe they enlisted the counter at the flash mob, to count the folk in the Market Hall when Aldo Silli(I know that isn't his real name.....I'm just having a bit of a jest with the name) did his cooking demonstration....whoever it was...I hope they count my pension out next week. I'll be able to pay the leccy bill:)

To be fair, 40 or 400, it must have been incredibly hard to count all those dancers.

It was all over in a flash.

It will have actually taken longer to count out the one thousand, one hundred, and sixty pounds, that it cost to make it happen.

;)

We were on Broadway yesterday afternoon....had just got off the bus from Bury, and himself fancied some strawberries....walked over to the fruit shop on Broadway.......there were lots of buskers......mostly with guitars, or bongo drums.......none of them had much talent in the singing dept(thin reedy voices).......but all were playing tunes(mostly that I didn't recognise).
The over all effect was not good. It was just noise when it was all mixed together.
Those who were situated where the Costa Coffee shop is going to be were drinking Carlsberg Lager........I thought that was illegal.
Ok...so this is only my opinion...some folk may have found it entertaining, I didn't and made a swift route back to the bus station.

I had a look on Boadway. We were really there for the protest against the threatened closure of Hargreaves House. I thought it was alright. Can't recall seeing belly dancers before on Boadway before . While not sober ones anyway.

The belly dancers had gone when we got there......only the duff guitar players/singers...they hadn't many coins in their hats!
