Which one will you be choosing 1, 2 or 3?

It is all very well to say 'do something about it'.......what exactly?
We can see how the areas of Blackburn Road have become run down and frankly, a dump.
If you criticise (because it is mainly an area populated by asians) then the cry of 'Racist' goes up...........I don't care who owns the properties along this stretch of road.....they could be sky blue pink for me......they should be made to maintain the area properly.......there are areas like this in what were once affluent and well maintained places in our town....that have now become rundown and horrible......and don't tell me it is because they haven't had money spent on them because they have...grants galore.

That Less, in the current financial situation is totally impractical.

I am not sure as its not something I have any experience in. I keep myself busy and useful with my charity work.

I think the properties should be maintained by the owners. If they allow the property to become an eyesore they should be instructed by the Council to sort it out. If this is not possible at present then the Council should make it possible with byelaws or whatever.

I dont like public money improving private property for the financial gain of the owner.

Maybe speak with our MP and the Local Councillors for the area and find out what can be done and why it is not being done.

Re: Demolished houses on Hyndburn Road

I have had experience in trying to challenge decisions that seem to have been made regardless of any representation from local residents, it took a lot of time, a lot of effort and resulted in precisely nothing.
I am at the bum end of my life and what I have left is too precious to waste on challenging the bureaucracy......it seems to me that who has most cash usually wins(or who has the most influential friends too).
I don't plan to go down that route again any time soon.
