You'll be here by the way.

That vote's needed.

I'll a hire a nurse for you myself, if need be. To keep you going until the election.

:D

Ya can remember the tussles we had back then, think you may have more of a problem with the other two though, as for the nurse Rindi, I've already got one of those:dancedog::dancedog::dancedog::D

She is using it as an excuse because she does not want to admit it was her own fault that the dog escaped and was on the road in the first place.

Yes, it would have to be a fevered brow, if she rubbed anything else, i don't think the brow would remain fevered for much longer as your rib cage would collapse in on itself and strangle the life out of your heart.

I wonder (he said entering fantasy mode) did Marge P look that fetching in her nursey uniform?

Well it is a fantasy, but it's MY FANTASY!

You pervert your mind with your own fantasy.

Less, I didn't show anywhere near as much flesh as that.......goodness we wanted our patients to get well...not have a relapse.
If you want a pic of me in my uniform....I can oblige.......as a very green wet behind the ears student nurse circa 1978.....or as a well seasoned competent nursing sister...circa 1990's....you can choose...or you might just say....No...let's not bother.

I realise it's going back over ground already covered but in answer to C'mon's post above (1418) this was in todays Independent. It appears that there are answers that don't require taxpayers money being ploughed into them & by the look of it various other issues are being dealt with at the same time, childminders, house sitters (to deter the opportunist Eastern European economic migrant who might decide to take up squatters rights in the UK, Gawd knows how they got into the Country ;)) A support network as it used to be with family helping each other, again without recourse to monetary benefits from the government.

Just an aside to this, the model highlighted has been pretty much of a normal thing here in Germany for quite some time. Grand parents/Parents have built with the idea of having a couple of generations under one roof looking after their own & maintaining some semblance of family cohesion.

So lovely.

Is that when you won the student prize, in 1978?

My grandparents started it in 1962, the year after he was killed.

I don't know when it ended.

oops my fat fingers....that should have read 1974.........I qualified in 1977 so that would be when I won the prize G....but I don't know what I did to win it.
I didn't ask in case it wasn't me that won and they asked for it back:).

Er...wild guess, because you were the best.

Good at your job, firm, kind, and like your daughter, blessed with natural empathy.

From all I know about him, you are exactly the right person to have won the prize in his memory.

He got on better with the nurses, than the other doctors, and we've got some lovely letters from some of the nurses he worked with, after he'd been killed.

Whoops.

Will get smacked hands, for chatting in this cut 'n' paste thread.

:D
