However, if you ain't introduced to it at some point, how will you ever know if you want to send a rover to mars etc..etc..etc..

Well you may have a point Guinness but being 67 next birthday don't think I'll bother with Mars thing:rolleyes:

Is that really the level you want to be at, resorting to name calling.
You did ask the question right at the start of this thread,"What was your take on maths and your usage of it when leaving school", I could have just gone along with you and everyone else and said it`s a complete waste of time and never used it since leaving school, but wheres the fun in that.

Didn`t say you were being abusive, being a newbie on here I`ve read some older threads and I just thought you were better than that.

And there my friend, is your downfall. As you progress (should you choose to stay around) through the intrigues, clannishness & as some would have you believe "Cliquism" of the Accyweb halls of artifice & chicanery, you will note underlying currents & trends, those popular at court will thrive, while those on the periphery may either wither & die, or become enmeshed within the tricksyness of it all.

The choice is yours young pilgrim, tread these walkways with caution, walk & talk quietly, notice much but say little at first until you achieve understanding & enlightenment or you have the taste of change on the wind. Oh, and always have a big stick handy to beat back the Bogeyman (or Woman) who lurk in darkened nooks & crannies. ;)
