This 'French Market' that we have just had, are we twinned with the Town of whoever turned up and are we expected to reciprocate by sending out Flea Market over for a week so they can get the chance of buying the second hand Cr*p that we usually have on offer week in week out or, is it just like the fair it's here one week then packs up and moves to some other unsuspecting Town?http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_43_5.gif

Well, normality is restored;the fair has gone and Broadway actually looked cleaner this morning than it normally does on a Monday morning;I presume the council had to pay some street cleaners over time to tidy all the mess up. We can now breathe relatively fresh air again!:D

Any idea of whether the fair managed to cover it's costs?

Not sure about that;it was totally dead on Thurs and Fri but busier Sat and Sun;they did a roaring trade in very sick looking goldfish at the Hook a Duck stall! I can't imagine that it covered it's costs from the footfall I saw, unless it was really busy at night.

I would have thought that, considering his interest in the issue, our worthy Member of Parliament might not have been in attendance with his " Human rights for goldfish" placard.

What a pity we missed this little lot. From Mick's photos it looks like Broadway was total shambles for a day or three. I feel sorry for those of you who had to try to work with all that racket going on. The fantastic, wonderful, amazing, super ride doesn't look all that brilliant and certainly not as big as anticipated which is probably a good thing because any bigger and it wouldn't have fit surely?

Hi Carole, and welcome.

If you post this in the introduction thread more people will see it, and you'll hopefully get a better response as well.:)
