what was the biggest spider you have seen in your house or garden and what did it look like

i forgot to say we seen one that was as big as a mug the top bit and it was black with white spots on its legs and the web was huge

Biggest one we ever had was so heavy that when it fell off the wall and hit the shelf, it made such a clunk that some things on the shelf actually shook. Was sickening, made my skin crawl at the thought of it.

It was just a browny/black colour, but it was so big u could actually make out the tiny hairs on its legs......it creeped me out big time.

We get lots of big spiders in the garden and in the house, dont mind them, I hate flies more.

not that this is the biggest spider i have seen but this one happens to be sat behind my TV and when i saw this thread i thought i would give the little fella his 15 mins of fame


the finger was for scale purpouses but i wasnt about to put it too close i didnt want the poor ****** thinking i was going to bite it :-)

well i dont think this spider will be eatin flies more like mice or somethin that big anyway but i dont mind it bein there as long as its not poisanuis cant spell it sorry

well that spider is very tiny compared to this one in our attick i dont mind one that small but the one in the attick is way to big for me my bofreind loves the size wants to keep it as a pet no thank for me though if he brings that thin down then im out of the house its huge
