Just for Willow......
This is the poem complete with picture.....
We've Got a New Baby at Our House...... We've got a new baby at our house, And nobody asks what I think. She's called Marnie Eve..... A girl, I believe.......... Her clothes are all frilly and pink. We've got a new baby at our house, She sleeps in my old bassinet. She's wrinkled and pink..... A girl......I think I'm not sure if I like her yet. We've got a new bay at our house, And I've to be gentle and kind. Not sad and glum...... Because she's pinched MY mum And I've to pretend I don't mind. We've got a new baby at our house, Now girls outnumber the boys I just hope she can fight And sleep through the night...... And I hope she's brought her own toys. We've got a new baby at our house, And I can't do just as I like. I've to be brave and good, Like big brothers should. At least I'VE got a new bike! Margaret Pilkington June 2005 |
