Damned tooting I will!!!!! The way the system works at the mo those poor sods who lost there jobs in the retail sector will get little or no help thanks to the points system at the benefits office!!!!! Help single mums first as they are not avoiding work by choice and will find it hard enough to find work. As for those who deliberatly avoid work due to lazyites then why the hell should they come ahead of those not there by choice!!!! As for giving my money for an employer to create a "phantom" job to massage figures is in flashys words Testicles. The job shy would be forced into it then at the first opportunity
they will be back on their butts!!!!!!!!

Sorry but I am not happy about this cow pats and bug urine.

Re: Pay Employers to Employ the Unemployed

IMO this will encourage employers to "not" take on recently unemployed people & instead take on those that have been unemployed for 6mth+

And by the time 6 months are up, those that have just been made unemployed will also be more likely to be losing their house etc.

So there will likely be other unfortunate outcomes from this stupid initiative that will deffo be abused by the many employers who abuse every loophole there is already.

Code:
Pay Employers to Employ the Unemployed
sounds like the Y.T.S scheme that was basicly working a full week doing the worst jobs for a pittance mainly thought up to reduce unemployment figures and exploit the young yet still paid for by the tax payer

Re: Pay Employers to Employ the Unemployed

there have been training or employment programmes in the past, one I recall paid a total of £2000 over a 12 month period, £20 per week.. wonder where the rest might come from, it would be more appropriate to give employers something towards KEEPING the staff they already have, I can tell you that it is hard enough finding work for my staff as it is, I am currently working longer hours just to keep people in work, but I dont get paid any more for it. As gorde says, ceasing immigration into this country is the key, or WAS about ten years ago.

Absolutely Derek, you know it I know it, but unfortunately the people that matter ain't got a clue and the trouble is they won't listen anyway, they do their favourite Brusey Impressions, I'm In Charge, I'm In Charge, What do pounds make, Prizes You see Brown and Co are okay when they're talking they talk a goo game, the problems start when they stop talking and start doing that's when everything goes tits up
