Gender neutral and unisex toilets - men who want to be female allowed easily to use female toilets could soon be legal?

Just because we may not subscribe to your view of things does not make us bullies.

As for the robes worn by the clergy in various religious organisations...that is TOTALLY different.
Their robes do no obscure from view their faces...they do not act as a barrier.

Boris was clumsy in his choice of words, but I think what he said needed saying.
The niqab and the burqa are not requirements of any religion...they are cultural and a throwback from the days of the 7th century.
They do women no favours.
As for gender neutral toilets...I would rathe go behind a bush for a P.

We leave our bathroom door open most of the time.
We have got to the time of our lives when things can sometimes happen...the last thing you want is to be on the floor with the door locked.

As for unisex toilets Belgium has already got them, men & women wandering all around together, but, try to get out without paying and you are in for big trouble! The lady on the door is far more frightening than any transvestite with a large Adams apple that insists you dance with them!

I remember some years ago Jack Straw causing a bit of a storm about face veils...what he said at the time was right....but it was blown up into a racist issue by the media and he was made to apologise.

Why would you ever be sorry for telling the truth?
The only thing he needs to apologise for is his choice of words....if he needs to apologise at all.
He expressed himself in a blunt way....but said what many people think.

I no longer visit some local places because I feel intimidated by these women in this garb....though I am loathe to tell any person how they should or should not dress.
I am uncomfortable with the burqa(you cannot tell who is contained in that tent of a garment) and I dislike the niqab because it tells me that the woman behind it sees herself as different....and does not want to be in the mainstream of society....does not want to be recognised or recognisable.
While I would not want to ban them, I feel that they should be strongly discouraged.

Regarding closing and/or locking doors, I agree Margaret that for safety reasons if for no other (???) it is a good idea to leave the bathroom door open - or at least unlocked. Anyway I’m safe as no one would want to see my old body these days – if they did it would probably traumatise them for life.

a few years ago my lad and his mate from daventry came to visit me. they were in their late teens at the time. when they changed buses at leicester and on seeing a group of muslim women with full head gear on he just ran in the opposite direction in fear. i thought it funny myself but wonder what actually younger kids might feel.
