Mistakes and accidents are the banks priviledge not the customers blayzey, they are 'allowed' to have accidents customers are not.

Yes I got the full amount. Not quite as quick as West Enders daughter, and the Halifax did say no ititially, but thanks to the Financial Ombudsman in 6 weeks time I will be a few hundred pounds richer

I think Barclays were very good with my daughter but it's probably less hassle for them to do that than argue about it. I've heard from other people that Halifax can be a bit difficult.

Halifax weren't really "difficult" - they just took their time and eventually said no hoping I wouldnt have the know-how to take it further. Soon as I got the F.O. involved they said they will pay up. But again dragging their feet saying it will take up to six weeks. To be honest, I dont really care. I haven't had the money for 6 years so I can wait 6 weeks
