Would you do it.

A mother has reported her sons to the police after they viciously attacked a man, leaving him blind in one eye.
If you found out that your children had been involved in a violent attack, would you do the same?

Re: Would you do it.

I seen this on GMTV this morning, i have to say I do feel for the woman, all her family has disowned her!!

if my son had done that to a man for no apparent reason , then yes i would do the same, no one has the right to do that....

I applaud this woman for her courage and i hope her sons see sense when they have calmed down a bit. They have altered another mans life forever....and they should know that you can't do that and get away with it.
Their Mum heard them boasting about what they had done.....and that is when she took action.

Re: Would you do it.

My Mum caught one of my brothers stealing from her purse and she dragged him down to the police station by his ear-hole. He was interviewed and fingerprinted and stuck in a cell for about an hour(with Mums permission)....we were all warned to expect the same treatment if we stepped out of line.
Do you think this is what is missing in todays society?

If i had kids i hope i would have the courage to do something like that. I hope they dont blame her for what she did - it was her sons fault anyway if they hadnt have done it then they wouldnt have needed to be reported to the police would they?

Re: Would you do it.

According to the story Jen, her family have disowned her.
And her sons were not teenagers who were 'daft in drink' they were 24 and 27 years old.......old enough to know the difference between right and wrong.

Re: Would you do it.

I read that in the bbc story that they were 24 and 27. Why should her family disown her for what she did - she was standing up for right and wrong and they should actually be proud of her.

Would they be disowning her if they were some lads up the street?
No, of course not, just because they are her "children" does not make them any less of a criminal
