Adi , popped in King Street Saturday for a wedding do, very impressed was nice, staff friendly and dressed smart and prices not bad neither, thumbs up from me

only been in abbey once was the other weekend adi you never had a suit on did you, was it you going to a wedding on a saturday around 2 weeks ago

glad you like King Street Ruud.

its a very nice place and as mentioned the staff are polite and friendly.

most importantly though the beers excellent and cheap and they dont attract any idoits either. Oh and they are building a kitchen so food will be available soon aswell!!

traceyb33 - it sure wasn't me wearing a suit!! I tend to go to the Abbey dressed a bit more casual!!

Be careful of the King street when your knackered... them settees are a ****** to get out of :)  Hmmm maybe this should be in the ...You know when your getting old thread :)

A sweeping statement there adi :)  I could say a woman in a boiler suit does nothing for me.. But stick Kylie naked into one and I could change my mind  ;D

i can agree with the Kylie bit HarryX but I can hand on heart say that a man wearing anything or nothing really does NOT DO anything for me!!! :o

I went into the Broadway on Saturday Afternoon for the very first time.

I must admit that I was impressed with the friendly atmosphere and they served a good pint.

On first impressions id say its a decent little pub.

we popped into the Hope & Anchor at about 4.45pm but they werent showing the football results so we went back into the Broadway.

we didnt even stay for a drink - although i have to say there was a few people in. we said that we would try the place at another time.

as for the hargreaves, i wasnt in Saturday night - i dont tend to drink before our game on a Sunday!!
