Cashman - Mr Bellamy is only the master of the house - the patriarch - the one who supplies the wherewithall to keep the household going (though Lady Marjorie's fortune has helped a bit). He's very important to the plot, becomes an MP (I'm afraid he's a Tory), and keeps going long after Lady M has succumbed to that iceberg.

Well there was the son, James, who did the usual spoiled son thing and got one of the maids pregnant then reacted as though it had been a gun that he didn't know was loaded. I think they sent him to Australia (or somewhere) once they'd paid her off. Would you rather be him? You will have to compete with the once-gorgeous Simon Williams of course.
