Ark building

Thinking of starting to build an ark if this rain doesnt stop anybody want to help, we also need cheap timber so any timber merchants take note. Not bothered about the animals though, most of em stink and take to much looking after a bit like kids so their banned as well, any ideas for the ark will be given due consideration.

In that case all you need is the garden shed & a few empty oil drums, no need to build an ark, tha's nowt to go in it.

Re: Ark building

Can send a cow if you like -milk is useful to have and cows are lovely and warm if you hug them. (I know from experience - don't ask!)

My cows do not stink and are very well behaved - they are some of Europe's most beautiful specimens

I can offer my services as dairy-maid if you'll let me be saved from the floods and come on your ark

Sadly you can't come on mine.

Two by two.

Well unless you have a twin.

Or come up with some clever trick, with mirrors.

Besides mine's full.

They've all been at it like, er...rabbits, for seven years.

Well, as far as I can see there were no cows on Rindy's ark -will stick with Dave, if he'll have me, especially if overcrowding is a problem, what with all those rabbits...

I would make an excellent "first mate" on board -will turn my hand to anything in order to be saved - my survival instinct knows no limits.

We milk 400 holsteins, Dave. Will bring one of our best producers - you can do a lot with 60 litres of milk a day,I do know how to make yoghurt and cheese - we certainly wouldn't starve on your ark

Altogether there are more than 1000 animals - with milking 400 at any one time. There are 2 men milking and it takes just 3 hrs to milk them all (state of the art 20x20 parlour -first of it's kind in Italy), here they milk them at 2-30am and pm - very early start.

Don't expect me up so soon on the ark though

Re: Ark building

May i suggest you draw up a plan of who exactly is to be allowed on board -if Rindy's ark is already full you may find you and your shed become very popular and you'll have to control a stampede of would-be survivors.

Agree fully -no kids on board, some useful animals and a crew are necessary - have to think about re-populating the world once the waters subside don't forget...

2 by 2 could turn out to be useful in the calculations.
