We got him from a farm over Todmorden way, bout 5 years ago mother and father were both there propervworking dogs so dont think so, but we didnt get "papers" so who knows?

definitely , collies know how to play. Just mention the word to Max and he empties his toy box. They also have to have a lot of mental stimulation

Interesting article in this months Lancashire Life about trainer from over Hambledon way, sold his dog for a record 8000 guineas, a nice pic of some collie pups sticking their heads through a gate too

Not sure about the new bandstand - compare to the 2 photos I've attached -one is a colour postcard of the bandstand as it was in about 1904 and the other shows people at a concert there -Kingston Mill band, June 24th 1899!

I was told the original bandstand originally stood adjacent to the town hall and was moved to the park. The replacement is in the same style as the old one. When the mansion was occupied by the office staff, the superintendent, and the workforce, we referred to the rooms by the names they were given when it was a museum previously. An example was we used to store stuff such as cold frames in the "butterfly Room". The section that was demolished housed the workforce and mechanics shop.

was deffo a day for the clouds today, it was what i used to say to the kids as a Simpsons sky, cos its like the start of The Simpsons

Today in Pictures, Where's Wally, he's in the rain taking pictures of a castle.

1. Why are so many places uphill.
2. Looking across to Pendle Hill.
3. Castle approach.
4. Back across to Pendle Hill.
5. I didn't do that, it was like that when I arrived.
6. Clitheroe High Street.
7. Longridge Fell from the ramparts.
8. Round the back.
9. This was a turret from the houses of parliament (1840-1854)
10. I don't know anything about this, apart from its a fish and its carved on a stone, so it must be a rock-fish.
