1. Blue skies and a threat of Spring.
2. Woodnook water waterfall.
3. The direction we are going.
4. As far as we go today.
5. The base of a once dominant chimney, and a long gone industry.
6. Its a mossy area.
7. Feather Moss.
8. Our path is off to the right.
9. It's dead, but still stood up.
10. Back on the path, and in the direction of the car.

Today in Pictures, This time without the snow, but with an icy wind that would slice bread.

1. Heading down to Calf Hey Reservoir.
2. Jen posted this one first, but I got the icicles.
3. Heading upward.
4. These structures pepper the landscape around here.
5. Almost at the top, check the slope, it put my lamps out.
6. Even up here dry stone walling dominates the area.
7. Oh heck, will they charge, I hope not I've only got fourpence.
8. I might just be a bit too close here......RUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN.
9. Musbury Heights Central.
10. On the way down.

Today in Pictures, Pike Law Quarry, not much to see in the quarry, but the views are interesting.

1. Those turbines are all over the place.
2. Same view, just a bit further around.
3. I never expected to be behind the old hospital.
4. It looks a bit like the workhouse.
5. Interesting domes.
6. I think thats Helmshore in the distance.
7. I did think of having a shufty around the grounds, until I spotted a security guard with a slavering Alsatian.
8. Heading back, this is a bit of the exposed quarry face.
9. There is a chuff chuff in the distance blowing its whistle.
10. The only bit of colour I could find, apart from the bits of white snow around.

Number 6 Dave looks like a shot of Horncliffe, the other side of the valley from Helmshore.

Could be, well it is, if you know it, I dont know the area at all, so it was just a best guess.

Horncliffe it is then, I was in an area I knew very little of, I was in the area as "Dad's" taxi was used, so took the opportunity to do a bit of mooching. I was surprised to find myself walking along the rear of the disused hospital though, mentally I was miles away from it.

You certainly get around Dave spent many hours up Pike Law when the kids were little, 2 of them were born at the hospital. If my memory serves me right I think it was originally a workhouse.
