Today in Pictures, back to Dean Clough, this time the wet bits.

1. Its the big wet bit.
2. A dry stone wall, a wet bit, skeletal trees ..........and Pendle Hill, champion.
3. This years Larch cones.
4. A water channel that used to feed into the reservoirs, long since by-passed.
5. The dividing wall between upper and lower Dean Clough.
6. Mayflowers, a bit early, but the weather has brought them out.
7. Is that the time !
8. Sometimes you don't have any say in where you start in life.
9. Where has all the water gone, could be a hose pipe ban soon.
10. Back up the hill, and home.

Squirrels and an old friend, Toby, who has survived -40c temps, two ice storms, god knows how many blizzards, fishers, coyotes ... what a cat! With any luck, and lots of treats, he's going to spend next winter inside, with endless food, fresh water, clean litter and lots of warm places to crash. I'm so glad to see him.:D

Eric, I am so pleased to see the pictures of Toby.....more so because you thought he had not survived the harsh winter. Maybe some other good soul has been giving him shelter or food....or maybe he still has some of the nine left.

Easter barbecue today - lovely weather and it was so peaceful sitting out under the cherry tree behind the house and listening to the birdsong. Looks like we should get a good crop of cherries this year! One of the farm cats was sleeping in the sunshine under the hedge nearby and a hare came across the field quite close and didn't see us. I tried a new way of doing radicchio (red salad leaves) cut into a fan shape and with a salsa made of chopped garlic, capers and anchovies in olive oil, 20 minutes in the oven -was delicious. Final pic of my pensioner friends, who'd stopped for a chat, as they continued along their way.
Hope you've all had a Happy Easter!:)

Dianne, it looks like you have had a lovely Easter Day.
It started out sunny her but it has been a bit grey and ordinary.....I should have had my photography leave yesterday.
Lovely pictures. Happy Easter to you, your family and all the Accyweb family.

The cat makes me think of the Cheshire Cat. He has a smile on his face.
If I could have another cat....I would choose one just like that one.

Except I would also like one like Eric's Toby.
I could very easily be a batty old lady with a house full of cats.
