How old are they, Margaret?

Re: Today in pictures
Buster was born on November the fifth...and Belle was born last May..so she is really a juvenile.
Buster lives up to his name(a proper hooligan)......and Belle is quite a gentle dog. We have taught her to sit and beg..to dance and to shake a paw...and she also changes hands(when shaking a paw - we just say to her 'the other one' and she gives us the other paw)......we can't get her to roll over though. He won't do anything...he is just too distractible. |

No Rob, you won't have done.....we had to have Gizmo put to sleep last August. He had a brain tumour and was having fits.
I have said that we won't have another dog. The pictures are of my daughters JRT's. We have been looking after them as she and her family went to the IOM for the weekend. |
Re: Today in pictures
aww. sorry to hear that. Gizmo mustve been quite old?
|
Re: Today in pictures
He was about 10/11 years old.....we had had him for about 4/5 years...and he was spoilt rotten.
It is so much of a wrench when you have to make the decision to have them put to sleep. You know it is the right thing to do. but it doesn't feel much like it at the time. So, no more dogs for us. I dread anything happening to Pasha...she is 15 years old and my husband loves her to bits...he speaks to her more fondly than he does to me...I'm not jealous...honest! :) |

Not me flashing my undies....but my other half. He has no shame.
He was asleep on the sofa....they all were. |

Gus showed up ... finally. He usually hangs out with Babs. They probably wintered in the old horse barns at the Memorial Centre. People in the neighbourhood put food over there for them.

So making the decision is always painful. It is good to see that Gus has returned and looking very well. I don't know these cats, but when you told me that they hadn't showed up after the arctic winter I worried about them...and hped for a good outcome. The picture did it for me. I have taken in many stray cats over the years......and if they do not appear for a few days I get a bit twitched. We used to have a visiting ginger tom...I was really attached to him. He went missing for six weeks one time. I was really upset about it.....so when he turned up thin and scrawny my husband rang me at work to tell me. I worked for the rest of the day with a huge grin on my mush...all because of a ginger cat. |
