Today in Pictures, nothing as exotic or windswept as the previous contributions, just a few shots from a "close to home" location.

1. A lonely look at eternity.
2. Just thought I would show my conkers, I'm not supposed to climb trees.
3. Well I never.
4. I can see Pendle from here.
5. Has someone remembered.
6. Well I never, the return.
7. Well I never, the trilogy is complete.
8. A gate that used to lead somewhere.
9. Just a reminder of what is just around the corner

The rooftop shot, showing where most of the little streets in todays photos are, was taken from the church terrace as seen yesterday in the photos of the man was reading his paper and contemplating the lake. :)

Streets like that are a photographers dream! Your shots came out really well considering the contrasting areas of light and shadows - nicely done :). I really like number 9 with the towels hanging out the window.

Super shot of the grouse! I like the moodiness in number 10.

Some threatening skies there - been along the Blubberhouses road quite a few times as a girl going to visit family near Durham. One time it was winter and the snow was packed high either side. Amazing scenery up there.

You get a definite feel of autumn from these - some lovely funghi and a hint of moisture!

The fungi sort of crept up on me, I haven't even got my fungal detector out of its box this year.

I am applying Dubbin around the gusset in anticipation of a moist, fungal Autumn.

That's just how I like to see the South Stevie, other peoples pictures.
You are a hero for going past Thelwall.
I must admit though, there are nice views from the bridge.
It was opened a year after I last was in the area, I used the tunnel.
