I was out walking the other day and I stumbled across this tree full of (sheep?) bones .

If they are sheep bones ... probably near the Ewe-bank factory.;)

It was wet and windy on our walk around Hameldon Woods.

We've had an easy winter over here in Southern Ontario so far: not much snow, and tolerably cold. A couple from yesterday:
1. An afternoon snow squall seen from the comfort of my window
2. Miss Pris thinks: "Wake me up when Spring comes!"
3. What a difference a day makes. Today's drive to the next town: minus 10 and sunny.
4. Another view from inside the car. I love the red dogwood bushes - they give a bit of colour to the side of the road in winter.
5. We managed to fit in a Geocache hunt so down the steps I go
6. Hubby waits at the top
7. My cell phone GPS points to 'ground zero' - the container is behind the tree. I didn't linger - stayed just long enough to sign the log, then back to the warmth of the car.

Cold, wet & miserable over here, so photie opportunities are limited to through the window at the birds in the garden.

The resident Fezzy prowling his range, that includes our garden x3 - A Green Woodpecker doing the rotovating work so I won't have to come spring x3 - Some Spadgers ready to descend onto the feeder - Best way to spend a soggy afternoon. :)

Don't forget the generous nip of a favourite Malt. :)

Today was a day that people should stay at home, instead of walking around Huncoat Colliery.

All great shots :)
Number 2: I've had these beggars attach themselves to me more times than I care to remember. Number 6 shows green things shooting up - always good. The perspective in number 8 is really nice.

Thanks,I know what you mean about the burdock heads, they were attached to the dogs legs, and up the length of my sleeve which then rubbed them onto the trim of the car when I lifted the dog on the back seat, and then when I took my boots off at home they were snagged on the laces. The way these plants spread their seeds around I am surprised that there are not more of them about.

It was a dull, windy day with nothing outstanding photography wise, but there are small signs things are improving. (St Mary's Burial Ground and Millennium Woods )
