For Davemac: I love number 10. The guys in number 7 remind me of a phenomenon I see daily in my local Tim Hortons: groups of men if a certain age gathering together for a good old gossip! I call it 'geezer's corner' - a chance to get away from the women-folk is how it appears to me :)

Number 10 is one of those wet moments, for my boots at least, the group you see are stood there on a regular basis they walk the Coppice daily and always stop at that point for a "fag" they were that engrossed in conversation they didn't become aware of me until I had passed them. It might not be a chance to get away from the women folk, more they are sent out to play whilst the women get their jobs done.

It was supposed to be damned not damped. Typical predictive text.

Starting on Metcalf Dr. Altham it was a circular walk, first alongside of the motorway then back along the wet bit.

Out & about terrorising ..... sorry, touring Europe at present so the piccies will tend to be more "Yesterday in pics" as the more normal today! :D

Wanted to visit Friedrichshafen "Zeppelin Museum" yesterday but the town had an open day & it was heaving, spent an hour driving round trying to find a way into the harbour & a place to park, in the end we gave it up as a bad job & went elsewhere.

Meersburg am Bodensee, jumped on the ferry across to Konstanz, through to Kreuzlingen Switzerland, along the bodensee shore line on the Swiss side to Rorschac, across to St.Gallen airport/Altenrhein. then round to Bregenz in Austria & back out into Germingland & Home, busy day to say the least. :)

Meersburg ferry terminal - Our shiny new jallopy with Witchy one - One of several Zeppelins doing tours above the Bodensee - Witch & Bitch On ferry to Konstanz - Bodensee & Swiss Alps - "Hundertwasser house" x2 - A De Havilland vampire as a roundabout ornament??? - "Hundertwasser" again - Vampire & Hundertwasser

Mondays jolly was to Cham in the "Bayerische Wald".

Marktplatz - Brunnen figures represent "Frieden & Fruchtbarkeit" (Peace & Plenty) The "Wald Hexe & Kinder" (Wood Witch & children symbolising Mother nature) "Bilmesschneider" (Mythical/Saga creature & represents failed harvests & hunger) - Grafen Luckner (took part in the French revolution) - Markt platz "Maibaum & Brunnen" - Covered walkways with Marion & the Mong - More Architecture & culture - "Rathaus & Jakobus Kirche" - No comment! Actually where the figure stands below was a well used to draw water for the beasts on market days - The "Burgtor" initially part of the city wall & defence, in 1642 it was taken over by by the towns Brewers to produce the local Weißbier" & as such in the local parlance became known as the "BierTor".
