2. Pendle is often in the distance, unless you are facing the other way, then its not.
3. The trees that line the river.
4. Water Mint, growing in the stream.
5. The River Calder.
6. So here I am in an empty field on my hands and knees taking a snap, just as I finish I turn around and a lady is passing with her dog.
7. Dean Brook as it passes under Clapper Bridge.
8. The River Calder at the point where Dean Brook joins the flow.
9. On the way back, the sky still looks full.
10. The weather briefly takes a turn to the sunny.

Beautiful country, even in the rain. I bet the lady with the dog was impressed with your Hokey Cokey technique :)

Yesterday a visit to the Holy land of Brewerists (Burton-on Trent) National brewery Museum.:D

Replicated Brew room, Carts & Drays, "Joe" (he likes his polos), "No, put him back he won't fit in the car!", the mechanised 'Oss, an Edwardian bar & finally some Brewers signage. :)

Included in the price was "free Supping", Okay, maybe not quite an orgy of Ale, but the option of 4 quarter pints of selected brews, or 2 halves, or a pint of a chosen tipple, sadly I had to decline being a driverist.

More Pics from Scotland. We went to Chanonry Point to look for dolphins but never saw one. Apparently it is the best place to spot dolphins as when they show they are very near the beach.

A few shots showing friend Dave getting the mast and then the sailing boat ready to go out. No shots from on board as my camera is not waterproof -didn't want to risk it in case we capsized - we didn't and went the whole length of Ullswater on a beautiful day...The last shots are a few from around Dacre village, I especially like the old stile lit up in the evening sun, and the Horse and Farrier pub -our local in the Lakes.

Today in Pictures, another rainy day, but you have to be in it to wet it.

1. Its late in the year for caterpillars.
2. The fungi season is well under way.
3. Upper Dean Clough Reservoir.
4. Its belting it down here.
5. Furthest point today, time to head back.
6. The hills in the distance have vanished under low cloud.
7. Climbing back up the hill, and the car.
8. Have you met our Gill.
9. Not common, the Yellow Staghorn.
10. I just have to finish with a droplet.

Wonderful close up shots! I had no idea there were so many different kinds of fungi. Is Lancashire known for rare species? And you caught a droplet on the caterpillar too :)
