Don't they think I have the sense to spot the heavy accent?

If they do not tell the truth about who their workers are, then what other lies do they think they can put past me?

I will always give them short shrift.

i hope you are not rude if camelot ring to announce how much you have ???? lol and lots of laughs :-) :-) they might start with hello is that mrs

No I don't agree with that assumption either.

The consumers will always be out there, they might have less money to spend, and they might be more discerning about what they buy.

All it means is that the folk on TPS will choose some other means of sourcing their purchases.

The job losses will be in the field of telemarketers.
I would say Hallelujah to that.

Camelot are unlikely to ring me and tell me anything....I do not participate in the lottery.

The vast majority of those call centers are not in this country, so how would that affect the British workers or our economy.
Those call centers were moved abroad to benefit from cheap wages & more profits, very little of it comes back into Our economy.
How many Asians do you know called Simon.
"Hello my name is Simon I'm calling on behalf of". Down goes the phone.
