Sorry, ladies, here is the proof from the cover of an old Stanley programme currently on ebay. Just look closely at the ad in the middle of the page...

1953/4 Accrington Stanley v Barnsley programme on eBay, also League Fixtures 1950-1958, League Fixtures, Football Programmes, Sports Memorabilia (end time 03-Feb-08 10:24:19 GMT)

Don't think so, the example shown was from 1953/54, and the very same ad was still running on the cover of 1960 programmes (obviously, the Melbo's owner believed in the power of advertising!). I've seen a fair few examples from various seasons and it's always shown as Melbo. Reckon if it was a printer's error, it would have been corrected at some point over the intervening six years!

does anyone know what that chippy up the side of the bus station(going towards royal mail, where ya pick ya parcels up), was called when it was a cafe, think it was in the 60's not sure

Don't know why but I think what is now Argos was once called "Shopper's World " ?????
