Kes was set in Yorkshire.

Worse, in Barnsley.

Still I know all you soft southerners think everything above Marylebone High Street is just one mass, called 'The North'.

Personally I never saw television as a child.

I much preferred to watch real people suffer.

Roy Rogers was a film star back in the 40' and 50s, with his horse Trigger, (which I think is stuffed in a case somewhere) and his partner Dale Harden, they were regular appears at kids matinees along with Hop along Cassidy and the Lone Ranger and Tonto and Sci fi Flash Gordon:)

BTW his sidekick was Dale Evans not Harden.
