Good old Accyweb

Is there any-one out there that pines with the same nostalgic feelings as I do for the way that accyweb used to be? It doesn't seem that long ago that people used to meet on here as friends & discuss (with a little bit of banter to & fro) the items that were of interest to this delicate community. Now, alas as time goes by I find myself longing for those salad days that stretched endlessly into humour & enjoying each others company, perhaps it's because I must be reaching the time in my life that I realise that we are not..........

OH ENOUGH OF THIS CRUD CAN WE PLEASE STOP TRYING TO SCORE POINTS OFF EACH OTHER & JUST ENJOY THE SITE!!!!!!!

Thumbs up Re: Good old Accyweb

Sounds like an excellent idea. It's too easy to let things get out of hand and I always tie myself in knots because I try to see everyone's point of view.

Re: Good old Accyweb

I stand by that sentiment folks...I've found welcome, warmth and support here over the last two weeks and that continues to grow each day. Even after the low points and errors of judgement...People continue to offer their help and assistance, their warmth and time…

There’s little more you could ask of anyone in this life…..Again you all have my gratitude, even those that may not have quite taken to me……

Well said Less. Nobody disputes that people have differing opinions, but that doesn't excuse nastiness and below the belt personal attacks, which have quite rightly been deleted. Bring back the banter please..

Re: Good old Accyweb

I suspect Less has bought some rose-tinted spectacles. I remember someone coming to work with an Accyweb T-shirt and I told him "I've looked at the site once or twice but all they talk about is jam butties". Another Accyweb member told me that only a few months ago one of the main talking points was..What sort of mobile have you got.
Despite the recent heated debates and mysterious overnight disappearances of threads and posts has Accyweb not progressed since the early days of butties and mobiles?

Well I think so.
We have 1256 members, and 2471 different threads.
Quite a lot more than two threads (mobile phones and jam butties) wouldnt you say.

The jam butty thing got so out of hand that they got moved to a website and forum all of there own... www.jambutty.com . A sensible decision IMHO

It was either sugar butties or syrup butties to put us on till tea time, always came home from school starving. I dont eat sweet stuff any more, funny how things change as you get older.
