Talking

My mum is on NTL but thinking of changing. Slow connections if it connects, TV keepgs going funny. NTL keep saying they are dealing with it but nothing changes!

As for removing their software, I installed my mums machine manually and connected it through their network card (Tried the usual NTL way too through USB port so know that nothing was wrong). Don't need their rubbish on the system then. Just log onto the 'start.ntl' page and register the computer that way.

Happy with Tiscali!

Can anyone recommend Tiscali. Want to get broadband but at the same time not have to pay a lot for it, after looking into it that seems the cheapest. Thanks.

tiscali do have a cheap version but it is slower than from other providers. They're cheap package is only 3 times faster than dial up :-(

But the 'expensive' one (512k) seems faster than NTL 600k! That's because NTL are poor.

Hiya.. I don't pay for my internet access. someone I do some work for does and they are the ones changing it over. There also going to be resellers so they want all staff on it. Thats the main reason for the change. I have been happy with btopenworld and not had problems in over 3 years (even when testing before general release). However I now get the benefit of a 1mb connection (from 500). Just a shame about the wait. this dialup business is doing my top in
