Who else 9.04 ing?

Must say its rather snappy!

And lets be honest, 50 mins on my Laptop to do the full upgrade and I didn't even lose a stored password or anything......

If only Windows could manage such an upgrade.... ( Think XP to Vista is equivilant level of upgrade)

Once again, I'm sorry to rub it in but this is how it should be.

The Ubuntu text and the bar on the start/shut down screens are far too small though don't you think

Runs pretty well, will do until I make another attempt at arch when my exams are over. Last time I got as far as installing openbox but just couldnt be bothered configuring it from there :P Year on and a lot more UNIX knowledge I'm hoping it'll go better because I'm loving the rolling release.

Splash screens on mine seem OK but tbh its a splash screeen so of nbo importance to me. You can always replace it with a custom image of your own. :D

All ubuntu releases since at least 8.04 and I'm pretty sure well before them have been live cd's

Yep, they have been Live CDs for ages. I have on really low spec stuff had to use the Xubuntu version a couple of times but its not difficult.

I don't know who you are and I don't care, but when the real entwisi comes on and discovers an imposter has been posting under his user name your life won't be worth living.

Would you like to know how I know you are a fraud? Very simple, the REAL entwisi has been coming on here telling us that Linux is best and Ubunto is the perfect platform to run on a P.C. and yet you claim to have done not just an update but a full upgrade.

Well let me tell you, your claim is blindingly fraudulent, perfection cannot be improved upon so whoever you are stop using entwisis' name in vain and could the mod's please remove this thread that is blackening the reputation of one of our most popular contributers!

Re: Who else 9.04 ing?

The last time I ordered a cd there was no live cd available.
I think that was around V7

I can't see a live cd now either and I am downloading the 64 bit version.

And the 32 bit version.

IS the download a live CD?

I'd really like to be able to use this on my laptop instead.

I dont use even a 1/4 of the crap thats in Vista.
