Webpage creation

Whats the easiest way to put music onto your own webpage? Does it require a certain program or is it just to add file? It is a question from a friend who is in the process of building his own and is a novice.

Re: Webpage creation

From a designers POV background music is not something that should be encouraged. Firstly not everyone browses in silence. If you were listening to your favourite track and some dodgy site started playing Spice Girsls at you you wouldn't be best pleased. Secondly for someone on dialup you don't want to slow down browsing with all the extra data. Thirdly it is generally considered Naff.

If however you want to ignore all my advice then

Pretty much covers it

Re: Webpage creation

As a browsing type person I have to agree that if there is one thing designed to make me shut down a web page it's having it play music at me!
