Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011
Well you kept your title chances alive today, still at least it was not a walk in the park for you.
Personally I felt today's Suarez/Evra's incidents, by both players, before and after, Suarez refusing to shake Evra's hand pre match and Evra celebrating in front of Suarez post match should now be the end of it. On a side note, I see that some Man U fans had a rather offensive Fanzine seized, featuring a Klu Klux Klan cut out mask. Seems that both teams have their share of idiots. BBC News - Manchester United fanzine seized before Liverpool game |

Not front Mancie, I am better than that. What has been done is done. From what I saw today both were doing stupid things. Man U fans have also done stupid things, Liverpool fans have done stupid things.
There is no mileage in dragging up this subject, other than for petty gain. I will not get into further bickering on this. |
Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011
Ok what's done is done..it's a pity "king kenny" don't see it the same way..he comes across like some guard at a death camp.."I will defend my player to the death"
On a side note ..was the king kenny the manager when you lot killed all those people at Heysel.? |

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011
I don't agree with that Mancie, I think that at both Heysel & Sheffield the authorities, both ground and police, were to blame.
As for yesterday, well I see that Suarez has at last apologised for that incident, a pity that KK hasn't apologised for his after match comments - taking after Arsene "I didn't see that" Wenger. Isn't it time that they admitted they were wrong - they did have the opportunity to challenge the ban but didn't, so what does that say? Let us have closure and then get on with the football. I did think it was a good game but I admit my bias, enjoyed Spurs win as well - maybe they will be the closest challengers to United - and even Rovers won well. I think BG meant that the scousers would be pushing for a Europa Cup place next year, certainly don't think that they will be aiming for the Champion's League |
Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011
Well said Barrie, glad to hear your comments, I could not agree more.
I see Kenny now has apologised for his behaviour as well. It is time to draw a line below these sad incidents. Well I still feel that we can make the Champions League next year, only 4 points in it at the moment. Seems city just wanted to throw it away today, supprised by that |
Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011
Although, they did get the result, are you still sure Spurs are your closest challengers?
I would have thought you are City's closest challenge |

It seems they only apologised after the American owners intervened. No doubt they saw Suarez and Dalgleish's behaviour as harmful to their money making machine. |

I have to say Cardiff played dammed well today. But we got our cup back again 8 times now.
We will be back at Wembley soon |

We made hard work of that & Cardiff were outstanding, all credit to their grit & determination today.
So, praise out the way, GLOAT TIME !!!!!! Scousers 1 piece of Silver, Mankies 0 & we didn't even nick it ;) :D Are you watching, are you watching, are you watching over there, are you watching over there ?? :tongueout |

Could not agree more and we are now in the Europa League as well, still going for that Champions League place though.

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011
I see that BG doesn't have anything to say after the weekend's failure - for the scousers. Maybe they have given up on the Premier League and are now going to put everything into winning the FA Cup - otherwise they will have to play all the preliminary rounds in the Europa.
I think I read that Stoke have played 18 games in that competition this season up to now, can the scousers manage that number of games? Rovers still hanging on, can they avoid the drop this season? |
Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011
Failure? Well yes we lost to Arsenal, but and it is a but, they only just won it in the 90th minute.
I see man u are still 2nd.... Still why don't you just keep knocking others to hide your teams failings. Good luck in the FA cup...oops |

I have to say the thing that amused me was Mancini saying the reason City got beat was because they were tired. these prima donas are plying 180 minutes of football a week at the most and training for about 3 hours a day max and they're tired, maybe if their wage packets weren't so big they wouldn't tire themselves out going to the bank, a good days work would kill the lot of um:rolleyes:

Just read an article in the press this morning about Martin Keown, who is now a BBC pundit, he was talking about how he is still every wary about United fans after his run in with Van The Man back in 2003, he's now very concerned because BBC Sport has transferred to Manchester, well he don't need to bother about United fans whilst working in Manchester, because its probably the safest place you could pick to avoid United Fans:D:D

Did your lot a big favour, I reckon Wolves & Wigan are going down with any one - including Rovers, from about 4 to join them - and the scousers in danger of finishing in the bottom half, but that won't matter to KK as long as the money keeps rolling in (even though the gates are down on last year):D |

However Two trips to Anfield South in his first full season as Manager and the first visit for the team in 14 years, first cup in 16 years. I'll take that. |
