Will that be before or after they gone into Admin?:D

Rovers are more likely to go into admin and Ewood be turned into a chicken take away and processing plant - and don'y forget that Stanley were getting close again:eek:

Reckon you are stuck with him for some time to come Jay. If VFC won't pay for players they won't sack him and pay his contract up - he won't resign as then he gets nothing.
Look on the bright side though, they have got more wins in the last few weeks than the scousers have:alright::D

I wonder if Hill's will have shortened the odds on KK leaving this summer - it was 4-1 before last weekends matches.
If he complains that they are having to play too many matches what is he going to say next season with all the Europa Cup matches? Apparently Fulham started this seasons matches in June.
An opportunity for KK to appear more ungracious perhaps.

Not sure about Fulham being cheated..was a hard game for both teams ..anyone who thinks of United winning all the remaining games are in dreams .. I'd say United would need to be 4 points clear of Citeh before we play them and we have Rovers away..sometimes good somtimes bad.;)

Should have been a penalty each Jay. There was a definite handball in the Fulham area and Carrick did take Murphy down but at first sighting I thought he had played the ball but the replays showed that he played Murphy's foot into the ball.
I am more bothered about Rovers than City but we will see. It would appear that the NN are trying to play mind games with SAF - just shows what a bunch of idiots they are.;)

Never realised that Ewood is a bit of a boggy ground for United, it appears that out of their last 12 matches at Ewood they have only won 2, losing 4 and drawing 6, thought they'd won more than that

Must try and stop being a realist;)

I am reminded of an old R.E.M. song - "Back Where We Belong" after todays result at wastelands.
Could be squeaky bum time on Monday for both sides as Rovers are only out of the zone on goal difference and we would love to be 5 points clear - at the top.
Great day for Stanley, thought they had blown it but they pulled through. Also a good day for Liverpool as they didn't drop any points today;)
Hope to have the Queen song in my head very soon:D:D:alright:

No worries just a little bit of sibling rivalry, Everton have always been in the shadow of the Pool, so every now & then we indulge them, let them feel a bit special. ;) :D

They defended well and could have had a couple from breakaways but if you set up defensively then the strikers(?) forget how to strike - and of course De Gea was up to anything that came his way.
I note your fat boy is much fatter than ours, perhaps that is why he isn't in the same class.
You were lucky to finish with 11 after the deliberate elbow into Scholes face.
What goals though - would have beaten a better keeper than yours:D:alright:

If you aren't a good enough team then the better players will all want to leave and better themselves.
I suppose you will be supporting La Creme on Sunday, might just help you with a "Get Out of Jail" card, but then of course Sparky is one of the old boys, so you never know:alright::D

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011

Was at Anfield today for the visit of Villa and from an LFC point of view the wheels have well and truly come off.

It seems like certain players have been found out, Carra who I have the upmost respect for is found wanting too many times the only plus is Agger is once again fit and hopefully can renew his patnershp with Skrtel, Henderson seems to be heavily weighed with the price tag although he did look better in a central position but that in turn seemed to push Gerard more on to the perhipials of the game.

Why Carroll & Belamy were on the bench only Kenny will know but the threat was more real when they were introduced.

Liverpool still play the nice one touch football but really are struggling with a cutting edge and sometimes I really do think they would benefit from going more direct if nothing else they would perhaps score more which in turn would instill confidence.

Ah well I least I can support my first Red team on Monday v Hereford:)

Rovers got cut up bad today but have been given a lifeline because at the same time Wigan got beat when they should have gone clear above Rovers, both Chelsea goals were clear offsides..but in a roundabout way Rovers have been given a lifeline because of bad ref decisions.. and you lot have the cheek to say United get the desicions! :D

Looks like I'll have to hold my hands up ;).. the ref at OT today was a bit rash to send of the QPR lad.. I reckon Ashley was on his way down and there was a defender about to make a tackle.. bad descision... all in all it looks like SAF might have seen off the not so noisy nieghbours for this season! ;)

Was a real bad decision today, as at Chelsea yesterday, more proof fer me the "Big Boys" get the decisions at home, saying that i have to say "Scum" were the best side today, no doubt deserved the 3 Pts.

Your lot would still be in the relegation zone.
I suppose La Creme could have moved you out of it yesterday by getting another 2 or 3 goals, but why please the bigots:p
Should not have been a penalty as the "assistant" should have had his flag up for offside. Thought Young went down too easily, but think it was the little tug on the shirt that unbalanced him - as for the sending off, well once the foul was given there was no option, last defender in the centre of the area.
Mind you, I do think that United eased off against the 10.

Ya its just a pity the linesman didn't notice that Young was just a tad offside (a yard) which cancels out the foul anyway, well except at Old Trafford;)

Good win tonight for the Pool but there's just no helping Rovers.. pools goalie sent off and such.. Rovers work hard but there's nowt there up front..got to question the fitness level of the strikers.. they both stopped making runs and looked knackered after 70 mins.

Certainly helped Wigan playing crap like we did but perhaps it is part of a conspiracy - to put Rovers where they belong, back in the Championship.
As for the big boys always getting the verdicts - how about the obvious penalty? However, the ref said he was protecting his face - with his left arm outstretched.
Still, keeps the interest going amongst the lesser teams.

For one who has very little to say most of the time, and that is usually a load of crap in itself - perhaps you will come up with something original one day:p

Didn't realise the scousers had spent over £100M this last year, and KK is said to have had the final say on each deal?
At least that puts them near the top of the spend league, unlike the position in the Premiership:rolleyes::alright:

He might have scored the winning goal, but £35 million for Carrol, Newcastle must have been laughing all the way to the bank:eek:

Agree with that, he really hasn't been worth the investment, I'd of sooner had Kuyt staring more often than Carroll, his work rate is a damn site better & he's more up for it in my view.

Wonder how long it will be before the powers that be bring in goal line technology, after yesterdays goal that never was, whats even more annoying is the fact that John Terry celebrated like the goal was legit, that was crass in my mind, sportsmanship has gone out of the game altogether, its win at all cost

Hang on, this thread is the pits so not sure words like "irony" are allowed :D

So, presumably, Man U represent the nicer, more respectable half of Manchester...Surbiton, Kingston on Thames, Richmond etc. ;)

Can't say I have been down there mate.. when I said "nicer and more respectable" I was thinking more along the lines of the supports from the two clubs.;)

Worried about Rovers.. could be two wins out of the last four games will get them out of relagation..but not sure where those wins will come from.. Norwich at home is close on a must win.

And you have the Europa Cup to look forward to next season, but if KK spends another £100M+ on flops then you might struggle in that, especially with the radical increase in matches - more reasons for KK to carry on whingeing:rolleyes::p:D

Could well have blown it now. I reckon they just got too casual and paid the price. Makes the 30th even more interesting and nail biting now. The only good thing was that Everton go even further ahead of the scousers.

Dave I gave up on the Rovers weeks ago, we won yesterday for the first time in six matches, because of that stupid Manager, or as a poster said at Ewood, Steve Kean, Wanted for impersonating a Manager

ToffeeGuy 22-04-2012 18:28

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011

There's no doubt King Kenny will have some difficult decisions to make regarding the club next season. i.e. whether to use a 9-iron or sand wedge in that difficult bunker at Ainsdale golf course.

stetrovers 22-04-2012 18:53

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011

Time for King Kenny to go, as he always said when in charge at Ewood, " I've nothing to prove". Its time for some golf time, was his company called Dalblade or something like that?
Losing at home to West Brom is yet another nail in his coffin...

DaveinGermany 22-04-2012 19:12

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011

Definitely something not right with this season there's been no real urgency about the club. Some hard decisions need taking at the final whistle.

ToffeeGuy 22-04-2012 23:07

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the title 2011

There's no doubt 'King' Kenny's best years were in the 1980s. When he had his hand up that Emu and hung around the Pink Windmill with Grotbags.

A good caning of the Canaries, but to little to late, we should've been getting results like that throughout. Our performance has been pretty mediocre in the league this season & as it is, just being a big name doesn't cut it nowadays. :(
