A-Z of Rock Legends

Just thought it would be a great idea to list a profile of post 60's Rock groups that have shaped the music of today.. these pioneers of Rock deserve regcognition....feel free to add your own Legends Of Rock..

I have not yet compiled the whole list but will be adding as I go on.
A:
ASWAD

first came on the scene with the hard hitting single "don't turn around".. one particular line within the lyrics - "don't turn around,if you wanna see my heart breaking..just walk away, if you wanna see me crying" was seen as a new era of writing.

B
B*withched
They released their debut single "cest la vie" and hit No1 within 2 weeks, this all girl irish band paved the way for later bands such as The Cranberry's

C

Cassidy David
Solo artist whose hard hitting rock classics still influence bands like the Artic Monkeys..songs "walkin in the rain" and "could it be forever" are installed as classics.

D
Dollar
One needs to look no further than this new wave rock duo for "in yer face" hard hitting lyrics "who where you with in the moonlight" sums up the influence Thereza Bazar and the great lyricist David Van Day had on Rock as we now know it.

(next list soon)

Must admit.. Dana did create a sideline in the hard rock underground with her lyrics

Snowdrops and daffodils
butterflies and bees
sailboats and fishermen
things of the sea
wishing-wells
wedding bells
early morning dew
all kinds of everything remind me of you

"kicksass" but as said not all new wave rock artists can be included in this list

I think that fills the E position in Rock Legends.. nice one Shaker..the "puff" in yer face hard core hell raising antics of the lead singer along with the ice cold stare of well known hard man of Rock Vince Clarke is worthy of the list.

When we get round to M it has to be Marc Bolan and T Rex, Well before their time OMHO. "You're built like a car, you got a hub cap diamond star halo, you're built like a car oh yeah", what a great chat up line from Get It On.
