Not good news, but inevitable I suppose, given the pitiful attendances we get.

Also From Jimmy Bell's article in paper,
Jimmy Ryan is close to signing his two year deal he just wants his Dad to speak to the management about it.

That's what John Terry et al earn in five weeks. The inequalities in football just get worse and worse.

yeh but thats the way of it, check out prices fer Chelsea v Fulham, tickets available from £80, the dearest will probably be more than a F.E.S. season ticket:rolleyes: the fans get stuffed as well.

But thats a club like chelsea for you, They know they can charge what they want and people will pay to see the club, Just like united charging season ticket holders for cup games even if they dont want to go to them!

Re: Player Wages and Availability

Bradford City are doing a similar exercise, think quite a few of the smaller clubs will have to do the same, unless they are thick.

His wages will be paid by Bradford until his loan period ends. He's got another year left with Stanley.

Declaring a 25% cut in playing budget for the following season before a takeover isn't good news, is it.

Re: Player Wages and Availability

Not really if we are wanting to move forward i think thats why we have gone on that new pay scheme to save money, but with the crowds being low and the credit crunch i suppose we need all the money we can get!

an extra £200k wouldn't go a miss :)

Re: Player Wages and Availability

this really does take the mick doesn't it?

left, right and centre clubs are taking easy options instead of paying money back, meanwhile we struggle on and can't do the things we'd like because we try to live within our limited means

Re: Player Wages and Availability

Exactly and thats why i think we should start on +10 points for keeping within our means! :D

What do you mean cashy? He'll be a Stanley player so we'll pay his wages?

Ah, sorry, didn't click on. You wonder if the 25% budget cut affect his wages. I'd expect we'd ask him to take a pay cut or something?
