Re: Player Wages and Availability

I actually typed a letter to the club last night along these very lines and included a few names that would be well worth bringing down at least on a trial basis to establish whether Coley believes they can add anything to the team.

I do however feel that teams should really be made up of about 90% or so of their own nationality (I know technically we are all the one nation) with Stanley for example getting young English talent on loan from bigger sides (or guys that those clubs have released), perhaps one or two better players from non league, and obviously it would be even sweeter to produce our own talent via the youths etc. However, if you can add one or two jocks with some talent and bring them down then I'm all for adding them to the mix. With wage bills being cut fairly dramatically, I think it would be a great market to perhaps uncover one or two hidden gems.

Bobby grant came through the ranks from age of 16 and so did turner but he was at burnley till he was 16. Winger JP Kalala who was a target for us in jamuary before going on loan to grimsby has been realesd by oldham so maybe he will be a target aswell

It is always possible he's going to wait and see how his dodgy ankle reacts over the summer and into preseason, so as not to be tying the club to a contract if his ankle isn't up to it. :D

You are a sinister thinking bunch you lot!!!!:p:rolleyes:

I don't think anybody will be interested in putting a bid in unless they are not in their right mind.

As the Don say's I'm sure Coleman will be capable of keeping us in the League, with a reduced budget, but what about the long suffering fans? How many years have we to put up with second rate players, and hanging on to our League status. I for one don't think I can put up with another season of only just surviving. How can he expect the attendances to rise if that is his outlook at least we knew where we were with Eric no spending unless absolutely necessary in fact no thing for the fans.As one can see I am feeling very disillusioned over this whole affair.
