Re: Planning Application

All this " will it happen??? won't it happen" talk does no good for general morale, as a lot of the statements that are released by the club, to me don't seem to have any weight or substance.

As another poster said, I think the powers that be, need to address these issues and put everyone in the picture; and that would include the Football League.By that, I mean post statements of intent of specific plans rather than general comments of "significant ground redevolpments" and reports of progress (i.e. the funding situation)

All the negativity generated by keeping folk in the dark about plans, only has the effect of generating a feeling of apathy which I'm sure the general public pick up upon. That in turn, deters floating support and potential new fans (and more importantly paying customers!!)from coming down to the Crown.

But , like the X files, like the Whalley & O'Neill share/ownership debacle it seems that the truth about the ground improvement situation is out there somewhere!!

The last I heard on the subject was when Ilyas said he's confident that O'Neill is the majority shareholder. That's good enough for me, for now.

The story I heard, for thats all they are stories, is that E W will not sign over his shares untill monies owed to him are paid. Not the money from the shares but further money he is insisting he is still owed by the club. As to him being seen in the vice Presedents lounge, I was informed that it is part of the deal, he and his family can use this room all the time. It,s like everything at the Club all surrounded in fog and half truths.
