Planning Application
Planning application has gone in for moving the control room, but it still does not seem to be a permanent solution.

Re: Planning Application
I was sure Rob Heys had said that as soon as the season ended, the club were embarking on a complete redevelopment of the Coppice End, including roof, police control room and new dressing rooms...or did I imagine that?

Re: Planning Application
Yes he did say those things.
However, it doesn't look like the club has fulfilled the criteria yet to release the funding. (We surely should have heard something concrete by now - excuse the pun). Time is running out, hence the request for the temporary control room to be kept. |
Re: Planning Application
the most suprising thing is some of you appear to believe o'neill/heys

Re: Planning Application
Yes it was more or less said that if the club submitted the plans by the end of,whichever month, can't quite remember, the grant from, was it LECCI ? was more or less sorted.Thats what I was led to believe by Mr O,neill and Mr Heys.

Re: Planning Application
At the Fans Forum Heys and O'Neill said categorically that the Coppice end was being demolished after the last home game of the season and a new stand, dressing rooms, control room, etc were being built. They also said that it would cost Stanley nothing and was being funded by a LEGI grant and a grant from the Football Trust and that these grants were already in place. We shall have to wait until after the last home game of the season to find out whether they were blatantly telling lies or not.

Re: Planning Application
Ground development.
Friday 26th Mar 2010 Control room planning application. Some supporters have expressed concern through various channels about a recent planning application lodged with Hyndburn Borough Council for the re-siting of the current control room. Although the club has not been contacted directly we would like to reassure supporters that the reason for this is to satisfy one of the planning committee's criteria for allowing us to keep the structure in place until the end of the season. Explaining the application chief executive Rob Heys said "The club was very grateful to the local authority for allowing us to leave the control room in place and avoid the considerable expense that would have been incurred had we been told to re-site it immediately. However they were very keen to ensure that there was a back up plan in place should the club's aim of redeveloping the Coppice Terrace not take place at the end of the season, and so instructed us to submit a revised application with the control room in a more suitable position. "The club remains committed to several sizeable ground improvements over the summer, including the construction of a permanent control room, and will release full details of these in the near future. John Coleman and Jimmy Bell are doing a tremendous job in ensuring that we establish ourselves as a Football League club on the field and it is up to us to ensure that we mirror that off the field." |
Re: Planning Application
So no new Coppice end development, then?
