Given the management's prior record in downplaying major problems, I think we can only be highly suspicious of this comment.

I thought we were highly suspicious of every comment?

Hope they might be related to paying off the cardboard millionaire and at least ending one saga.

Thank goodness that this is such an honest and tranparent club that our questions will be answered soon.

I ask because Southend have an embargo for owing the PFA monies and I couldn't remember if we still had any outstanding loans with them.
My memory isn't as good as it was?

My memory really isn't good- I'd forgotten I'd posted this........

Frustrated with the contempt shown towards fans who have stumped up hard earned cash to help their club, I emailed the FL for reliable information:

Hi Alan

Unfortunately, we are not able to comment on any specific club that may or may not be subject to a registrations embargo. The Football League has a long-standing policy not to comment publicly about the imposition of embargoes, which is maintained to protect the interests of the clubs involved.
Player registration embargoes are imposed on clubs in instances where they have breached certain Football League regulations, policies or other requirements as determined by The League Board. The registration embargo will be maintained until the club rectifies the situation to the satisfaction of The League.
Given that we are unable to discuss the specifics of any particular case, we are sorry but we cannot comment further.

Kind Regards

Amanda

Hopefully it might push the matter up the in-tray when our backroom management have shaped up to the league's requirements.

A cynical person might comment that, given all the evidence before our eyes, are they capable of 'shaping up' ?..
But not being a cynic...........

Excellent news, could an issue not be the stadium capacity? or the owner ?.

Re: Transfer embargo

One can't help but notice the "lack" of an official statement on the fishy site. Funny that as I am sure that when Ilyas was " in control " the statements couldn't come fast enough!! Déjà vu anyone?

Also, considering the club read this forum you would be forgiven for thinking that they would be falling over themselves to try and allay our fears. Or am I being a little over optimistic? Hmmm :(
