Ray Putterill & Stanley in trouble?

On fishy site now, Ray Putterill & Stanley are facing charges from the FA after Ray played in the JPT match at Tranmere whilst serving a 42 day suspension issued by Liverpool County FA, apparently we have until 13th September to respond

Oh the joys of being a Stanley fan, it never rains but it pours.

On the plus side, it was reported on the fishy site before the LET this time :)

On a more serious note it does mean he is out until mid October doesn't it ?

That's interesting. The national FA deal with misconduct from Unibond level upwards, so where exactly has he managed to accrue a County FA suspension from? Can perhaps understand the club not knowing this if they didn't know to check, but it's hard to believe it would have slipped his mind. And when did the suspension kick in? Ought he had played in the league and cup games?

Apparently it was when he was playing for Halewood Town (don't know which league they are in) in April 2010, the ban was effective from 30 August. Does say on fishy site that the Football League will be looking at this in conjunction with the JPT competition rules - wonder if we will be thrown out, especially seeing as how it was Ray who scored that night??

The suspension is from Liverpool FA, and didn't kick in until 30th August.

It will have been a low level of football for the suspension to be dished out in number of days rather than matches. Sunday football maybe ?

Pretty sure that Stanley will be booted out of the JTP Trophy for this. The ban is for abusing officials. The FA aren't going to let him or Stanley get away with this.

I can't believe Putterill wasn't aware of this.

Bury were thrown out of the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player two years ago. If we are found guilty, the punishment will surely be the same regardless of whether he scored or not.

Maybe this explains why Putterill didn't play on Saturday!

Other Clubs seem to learn by their mistakes but we do not as we are still being run by Dumb and Dumber. Are Dumb and Dumber going to re-imburse Stanley for any monies lost or fines incurred because of their mistake ? I don't think so.

There doesn't seem to be a precedent for fielding a suspended player in the JPT but there's a sensible summary of possible outcomes on an unofficial Tranmere site:
Rovers may get JPT reprieve
