Re: Ground Capacity

Does that mean that the Morcambe fans will not be able to use the Coppice end?
Will they have to give them the Scratin shed, they usually bring quite a lot of support, so they would probably need the entire shed.
Anyway it's good that the work has started.

Re: Ground Capacity

Even the 'simplest' planning applications take about 8 weeks to decide, so probably no decision from the Council before mid March.
If work has started today then the club is in breach of planning regs and the Council could serve a 'stop notice' on them, pending its decision on the planning application.
If the club really is trying to build bridges (as well as terracing) with the "community" it might be prudent to either wait for the Council to give its decision before starting work, or to make sure it submits planning applications well before it needs to do work that requires permission.

But what about those pesky residents? They won't like it if the new structure is a few inches higher than the existing one.:D

Re: Ground Capacity

The planning application for the work that was supposed to be completed by 31st December was only submitted on 19th January?
So the li(n)e about being unable to do the work because of the weather through December was total bull. Surprised?

Would swap in an instant, roof or no roof. Don't think it's possible, though, as the police control room has to be near the away fans' section.

Interesting that you mentioned this Dale and your right about the control box being near to the away fans WH!! Both could get your wish on this idear, the coppice could be split in two half home half away with a fences down the middle, only problem is there isn't enough toilets for home and away fans behind the coppice, and you'l need extra food vans..:)
