Whilst i cannot deny he did some good work,re the pitch n style of play, He showed no loyalty due to the short tenure n left fer money pure n simple, so the i have decided the latter fits best fer me.

Lost at Wycombe. 25 minutes into Radio Sheffield Phone in two "honey moon" over grumbles already.

Chairman Dave Allen has revealed that Chesterfield are around £7million in debt. He wants the Town Council to write off a £960,000 loan debt, because of the publicity the town receives re. the football club! How much do you think HBC will loan us for the publicity Stanley bring to the area???

Complaints on Radio Sheffield tonight from Spireites complaining about 4-5-1 and rumours about Jack Lester going out on loan though apparently the club countered that they themselves would like him to stay.

Re: Paul Cook

Maybe Cooky is going to ease his guilt by sending us Jack Lester on loan - now he would score the goals to keep us up !!!!!

Crossed my mind as well; ok if they pay his wages and he doesn't get any more red cards .........

'What amazes me more than anything, is the confidence some fans have in PC; making every lame excuse they can think of in order to justify his tenure: from TW and MC 'controlling' team affairs; PC needing his own staff; PC needing to 're-build' and form his 'own team'! PC's track record is enough to cast doubt, never mind his banal rhetoric! Sacked from Southport; relative success after a few seasons with the mighty 'Sligo'; only won 8, yes, 8 games with Accrington but lost 18, that's, lost 18!!!! And, then, somehow, ends up managing Chesterfield FC, with that record! Personally, that kind of record does not fill me with confidence. Even when AS came to the Proact with their pressing, high-tempo play, we still managed to beat them, even though they over-ran our midfield! Just before PC joined us, AS had lost four on the spin and had just been tanked 5-0 by Oxford; they had only won 2 in 10 and they were against Wimbledon and Aldershot!!!!!
Furthermore, PC used the exact rhetoric when at AS, he said their aim was to win the league and believed it was possible; described the club as a 'fantastic place'; believed the 'players work for the fans' blah blah....
I was very worried when we appointed PC, that hasn't changed; we are in deep doo doo!

Seems that The Spireites are suffering from a nasty case of Snakebite !!.

Its hotting up on the local radio.

Last night someone rang in very dismissive of the fare at the Proact and two nights ago someone said they were worried as they had 12 to go and were only 8 points above relegation.

Paul Cook's ears will be burning from Radio Sheffield phone in Football Heaven in last couple of days.

Not at all happy at decision Jack Lester not be offered new contract at the end of the season.

One Spireite fan even rang in to say he hoped Chesterfield would lose their weekend game.

I've withheld joining in the Cook-baiting, despite having to sit behind some of his family at Oxford as they sniggered at Stanley's 5-0 hammering, but the only way that Stanley are 'lesser' than clubs like Chesterfield, Port Vale, etc, can only be in terms of finances. So we can assume our suspicions, that money was and is the only thing about football that interests him, are correct.
