I agree with your observations. I too think that a lot of our defensive frailties were down to weaknesses in midfield which too often over exposed our defenders. Clearly we still need to employ a much more combative element into our midfield before the start of next season. One of my favourite mantras is; defend higher up the pitch!

Very sad indeed to see Rob Atkinson go. The "goals against" column would have been far worse had it not been for him, although Tom and Lloyd also played their part. As others have said, the problems lay elsewhere.

Atkinson was found out more than fans like to admit, I never rated him at all and many of you slagged my good name because I had a different opinion.

Got to say Davo puts his head above the parapet (like a few others on here) and is not frightened of giving his opinion.
