Regardless of any romanticism towards the cow shed, the fact remains a new stand is desperately required to move the ground and wider club forward if we want to remain a progressive football league club.

If you stand still in this league, at some point you end up going backwards.

I would encourage Andy and co to maximise the potential to use the stand on non match days and would also encourage them to maximise the capacity of the stand as it will be a good opportunity to profit from big away followings. It will be considerably more expensive to increase capacity once the stand is built if the club on the pitch develop into a regular league 1 team. Better to maximise the allowable capacity now even if it's only a few hundred more.

Two possibilities;

Preferred; Rovers stay up in League One and we get promoted!:mosher:

Rovers get relegated to League Two and we miss promotion once again in the Play Offs! Aw shucks!

Still waiting on the nod from Football Foundation with respect to the 50/50 match funding. He got his fingers burnt with the Clayron End so dont think he'll lay a brick until they email confirmation

our ground could still be a reason why we do not get the amount of fans the club deserves. its 2018 not 1948.

so you actually think the wham and all its facilities especially for away fans are what are really needed in this day and age. do not like saying it but our facilities are one of the worst in the league.

Don't know how you can say this, why only today I watched them deliver a trailer full of portaloos to the away end for Monday.

True - the hygiene at the crown has been shocking, especially openly admitting there is no water in the toilets at the time they are most used, and taking ten years to rectify it.

Andy Holt's latest revised plans for whinney Hill stand seen on Twitter.
Says he hopes to get it started this summer.
Looks like it will be full length of the pitch and six rows deep.
Should match quite nicely with current Main Stand opposite and with the Clayton End. Just a roof needs for the Coppice End and some infrastructure in there too......

Just right IMHO for us at Accy!:alright:
