We run a tight financial ship at Accrington and every penny counts.

It looks like you were just moaning about it when you had no idea what they cost and just assumed it was over priced.

That was a recommendation for Dav.

Well as one who contributed towards it, I don't. And I appreciate those volunteers who gave their free time to make it happen on behalf of all Stanley's supporters, real and otherwise.
The obvious solution is that the next time the OASSC or the club come up with an improvement scheme for the ground then you, as the self-anointed fans rep, come up with an alternative costing before any decision is made.
Simple.
That way your 'constructive criticism' ("..it's a rip off...") would amount to something more than it appears, in this case, to be.
Peace and love.

I for one found it to be altogether colourful, informative and helpful !... for the first time ever I was able to take my Saturday 16:00 medication dead on time !.... who can put a price on such individual service as this ?.

I think the point Dav is making ("rip off") is not that it's good or useful, but that we've been over charged.
The solution to this pointless debate is to be pointed in the direction of some "facts" that show that you can get a similar type of screen for a lesser cost? I'd be surprised if those facts emerge.

Why don't we show some old Laurel & Hardy films at half time?
They don't require any sound & it would give us something to laugh about while we're chewing our way through the new, tastier, larger chunks of gristle.

The screen has happened, this is a fact.
We can debate the rights and wrongs until the cows come home, but it will not change anything.

Next time we have an OSC inspired ground improvement initiative, maybe more detailed clarity about the outcome would prevent such disappointment.

The most important thing is the club moves forward.

I am starting to think that there are two DAV007s. One who is almost literate, logical and circumspect - and one who isn't.
