With Cala's history they're better off without that particular vulture circling

would have been out of the fire and into the frying pan with another foreign owner. need a local guy like us which is the only way forward for a club like morecambe.

I honestly think that when the brown stuff hits the fan the local authorities should be able to seize control in much the same way as they can seize derelict property.

It's not a great solution but is one solution, after all, football clubs truly belong to the fans. The only other genuine solution is for Fan groups to save enough money up and then hoard it until such time as a buy out is necessary. As things stand we are likely to be the cheapest club around but could we raise and hoard £2m?

no chance. we and morecambe probebly could raise a few thousand but its a drop in the ocean for whats needed. some struggle nowadays to find the money to go to a game never mind spending anything else. the heart might be willing but the pocket isn,t.

Just seen this morning Carlisle have started a fan fundraising page to help them sign a new player as chairman can't afford any more signings

Where's that announced?

He's only agreed to out some money in, just like he agreed to put money into an Italian club but was kicked out after 11 days for not coming up with the funds...

Nobody injects money into a football club unless they are buying it.

Board meeting in progress so maybe more news later.

There's never a dull day !!
