The permanent lad coming in will probably be a defender or possibly another midfielder what you think Cashy?

It also creates some genuine competition in the middle of the park, Morgan highly rated by Liam Watson and apparently Southport turned down substantial bid from a National league side but felt couldn't stand in the way of this move, also Philips rated this season has stand out in league 2, if you're serious about finishing high up the league this is a positive move.

Re: January transfer window

Southport fans are naturally disappointed in losing their captain and overall best player, saying that they have no doubt he will adapt to league 1. With the National league's all about to curtail their season it makes sense for the lad to move now teacher as well so full time football for him now aggressive hard working 90+ midfielder just fits the mould could push the present 3 all the way in midfield what we want, because last 15 minutes at Plymouth tired legs in midfield let them run it more options now for Coley to change.

hope he is as good as dion and not like the other lad we got from southport a few years back who never made the jump up from non league. jumping up 3 divisions will not be easy but at least we have experiance of players doing it and coleys record in this is quite good.

I rated Liam Nolan to be honest, tall centre midfielder, didn't do anything special but would have been a good squad player to have.

Problem is when you want to play football and can earn more money being a starter in National League.

It was the minutes more than the money with Liam.
I too thought he was a good squad member.

yes thats the lad. he did start out quite well but once dropped he never seemed to get involved in games in the occasions he got on the pitch. we have had others who got persevered with doing less week in week out than him.

I liked Nolan too and thought he might develop.
But we need to be careful or we’ll be relegated to the Former Players thread!

Played quite regularly in the promotion season but after promotion and a lot of scouts at games the year we went up he just didn't adapt to league 1, either his head was turned by interest following promotion, he wasn't good enough my thoughts, other players like Barlaser came in way football his. This new lad Morgan his probably a totally different style of player time and minutes will show, but quietly confident especially with 2 and half year deal.

So we all know the squad till the end of the season.
Who's your favoured starting 11 ?
What's your favoured formation ?
