A good un tall 6ft 4 ins gets about and can score seen him a few times against Stanley and has always left a good impression.

From reading his own write up, I get the impression he might be more like Proccy :)

Great signing if he is :)

Like the bits he says about Billy and Sean ;)

Harry Pell sounds like a great signing. Tall, strong and experienced midfielder who also scores goals. Looking forward to seeing him ‘in the flesh’ along with the rest of the developing squad.:mosher:

A really super interview with Harry Pell on the ‘fishy’ site! Intelligent and enthusiastic character. Talks about his respect for Stanley and the management and how he used to hate playing against us because of the commitment and energy that our teams have always displayed under John Coleman! Looks like a superb early signing.:theband::jimbo:

I remember him from games against Cheltenham, and the fact he stood out (not just physically!) in a couple of games. One match he ran their midfield and really caused Stanley a lot of problems. Hope he does well, and as Accymad notes, is this the first time we’ve secured a player in May?

i certainly like the sound of him. coley must be really interested in the lad as early august is the usual signing date for new players not early may. sounds like a first choice player in his recruitment.

I think that Stanley are in a much better position now in order to be able to attract players to the club.:mosher:
ie. We were always at the back of the queue, hence August before signing any players on.
:(
Perhaps now we are nearer the front of the queue!:jimbo:
Possible reasons for this are: a) The magnificent improvements, since Andy Holt became Chairman, in the way the club is run and to the infrastructure of The Wham stadium and in training facilities. b) Our consolidation as a solid League One club with the potential to win promotion. c) Better contracts can be offered due to this added security.:mosher:

if i was a player i,d rather play for stanley for a bit less money than some club who is owned by a clown and change their manager after he dares to lose a couple of games. there is an element of security at stanley if a player knuckles down, do what he is told and give there best.

Still at the rumour stage, probably.

It's reported that we've agreed a deal with Bognor for Tommy Leigh, a midfielder:

it certainly would be a big gamble signing him. however coley does not seem to mind a gamble signing players though. he,ll have a medical anyway before signing that should show up a permanent problem he has or has the lad just had some bad luck.

Do you ?
I know the player availability list is extensive that's for sure.
When I say not for us (if available) he will attract other clubs that may be he will be more attracted to.

if he thinks that his career has now peaked in division 1 then he might as well just chase the money now. do not know where he lives but stockport is not a million miles away so moving to a strange area is not a problem. he is a manc anyway so its on his doorstep.

I dont like the idea of the lad being put under extra pressure being described that way. Add up the minutes on the pitch.

Still at the rumour stage, probably.

Along with Crewe and Port Vale, we're also linked with Elliott Nevitt, of Warrington Rylands, who scored a hat-trick in this year's Vase final:

Elliott Nevitt has signed for Tranmere..

he did show some better form for sure last season. did not realise his age as he seemed to have been accociated with stanley for years. just hope that bad form he did show was just a blip.

Good luck to the lad, welcome to Stanley.

will love it when one of these new signings does well against the so called big teams who class player recruitment as a real life version of some computer game who only sign name players. stanley give these lads a chance and its great when we beat the money men and those who are not famous anymore.

You mean like on league 1 fan banter page on Facebook, Wednesday, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Wigan, Sunderland and " Bolton " saying they are the " big " clubs pathetic.

Re: New signing,s 2021/22

The squad coming together nicely now with a mixture of experience and youth in there so one eye on the future, but to me games are dictated and won with successful midfield,s and we if nobody leaves have a real healthy competition for places in there, you will have to be at the top of your game to keep retaining the shirt with such competition great times ahead I hope.
