While I was looking at this man's website after having seen some of his fantastic pictures, found in his Bio that he was born in Accrington. A fantastic artist whose paintings are like photos.

You had to get the Ribble from Burnley to Preston for Rishton. The Corpy bus only ran rarely. My grandparents lived at the bottom of Blackburn Road near to the Dunk and you had to walk up to Whalley...

I was a regular at Chans until I got something I didn't bargain for...that was over 30 years ago but it still sticks in my mind, I don't think I have been as ill since.
