Have you tried using rootschat.com - the lancashire forum section - very often other people can try and help you. I assume your birth records came from the Lancashire parish records online website...

If you take a look at the bowley website = they use the bulls as part of their logo. They have also used them on some of their commemorative badges.

Not sure of his age or your transport - how about Clitheroe = castle/museum. Edisford Bridge, Towneley Hall - park etc. Witton Park - larger play area for over 10s.

Yes - the hyndburn & ribble valley football have paid today to play on there - parents parking miles away whilst empty spaces segregated off for athletics - very odd.

Wilsons playing fields - welcome for all ?

I assumed that Wilsons was a council athletics track and football playing fields venue for all of hyndburn.
I would love the see the 'jobsworth' who think he runs the car park and cones it off...
