It's a small world Dave was due to go to the outward bound school at ullswater but he broke his arm (I think) and left me the honour of going I think Dave left at christmas because I was headboy...

I have looked at this topic before but did not recognize any names I think I started in the infants when I was 3 or 4 but that could be wrong so that would be 1948 ish. I remember a Mr Bruynseels...

I think it is broadway surely the river was covered in front of what was to become the odeon so that bit looks OK? I think that the waterwheels are gas/electric lights and I don't think it is...

In the fifties my first visit to the barbers was the shop at the corner of albion st and king st I don't know if the shop had a name but the barber was Harry Clemmy

My first pint was in The Tramway in 1962 Joe Singleton was the Landlord His wife I think had been licensee for donkey's years the look on Joes face when he bought me a pint on my 18th in 1963.

I have just bought a maxtor external hard drive and I back everything up on there and you can select the frequency at which it does it and trust me its easy

Was it called the Queens after it was Nightingales I seemed to remember when the grocery store first opened people where still calling it the Queens or am I confused as usual
