Busiest pubs back in the 70's on a Friday and Saturday night!

If you had to go out one door and in another to go to the bog it was busy!!! Bridge, Pickwick!! Happy daze!

On the way to the Clough.

Back in the late 50's and early 60's we often walked down to the clough via Riley's farm and if it was really hot and it always was back then we used to have a mucky swim in the oblong shaped pond...

Bit late getting back to you but yes it was my Dad. He's been gone a few years now and so has Mum. He loved that little job he had with you, gutted when he was laid off.

First day at BIG school.

1964. Moor End in Ossy which was an annex for Rhyddings. Me and David Gaffney who lived next door on Pendle St. was going also. Think it was a couple of days before term started so we went for a walk...

Is it possible that the view from the top of the Coppice will be allowed to go if the trees growing around the place are not cut back? Can't imagine that happening! :confused::confused::confused:

Anyone tell me the name of the bar/pub on Union St. back in the early 70's and if you can where was the bar in there. I remember it as one large room but can't for the life remember where the bar was...

When I was a nipper back in the 50's did some factories have hooters that told you get back to work now, you've got 5 minutes left?? :confused:
